Gulf Air completes first flight from new Bahrain Airport terminal

Gulf Air, a state-owned airline of Bahrain, started a new chapter in Bahrain精东影业 aviation history. The airline completed the first commercial flight from the newly launched terminal of Bahrain International Airport.

The Gulf Air flight GF2130 highlighted the launch of the new terminal of Bahrain International Airport (BAH) on January 28, 2021. According to the FlightRadar24.com data, the country精东影业 flag carrier精东影业 Airbus A320 aircraft, registered as A9C-TF, completed the very first commercial operation from BAH airport to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), India.

The first incoming flight to the new terminal was also made by Gulf Air, whose Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner arrived from Allama Iqbal International Airport (LHE), Pakistan. Moreover, bidding farewell to the old airport terminal, Gulf Air also operated the last flight from the old premises to Dubai International Airport (DBX) with its Airbus A320neo jet.

Speaking to local media during the launch, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince of Bahrain, outlined that the new terminal at Bahrain International Airport was built with a purpose to enhance the state精东影业 connectivity and strengthen its position as an increasingly growing hub in the region. 

The new facility was developed following the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 plan and is set to deliver the expanded capacity to serve 14 million passengers per year.
