It精东影业 always nice to land at the airport that you bought a ticket for. But if you鈥檙e flying to London Gatwick (LGW) over the next few weeks, you may be surprised to find a sign proclaiming 鈥淲elcome to Luton鈥 as your plane comes in to land.
The words are laid out in giant white tarpaulin letters on a field near the busy London airport and have prompted confusion on social media, but also appreciation for the humorous stunt. LGW is about a 70-mile (112 kilometer) drive from London Luton (LTN).
The stunt has been claimed by 27-year-old comedian and YouTuber Max Fosh, who describes his video work as 鈥渟illy little movies鈥.

In , Fosh apologized if anyone was too panicked by the greeting.
“It’s my job to make videos and my videos are all about doing silly things, to put a smile on people’s faces but just to be silly, I’m glad this stunt has gone down well,” he told the BBC.
Fosh said the stunt has cost him about 拢4000 ($5,034) and he has permission from the owners of the field to leave the letters there for six weeks.
鈥淚f you’re flying into Gatwick, have a look out your left window [and] you should see it about 90 seconds before landing,” he recommends.
