Two 精东影业 Achievement Award recipients have recently been honored with significant accolades reflecting their work and dedication to the industry.
Jacqueline Sutton was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire in HM The Queen精东影业 Platinum Jubilee Honours list, while Jill Meyers became the recipient of the 2022 Katharine Wright Trophy.
Jacqueline Sutton, Non-Executive Director at Farnborough International and chair of the Women in Aviation & Aerospace Charter, was recognized in HM The Queen’s 2022 Jubilee Birthday Honours list as a 鈥渟trategic and commercial leader in the aerospace sector鈥.
For 13 years, Jacqui worked at Rolls-Royce, serving in many roles, and becoming the Chief Customer Officer for Civil Aerospace in 2019. Jacqui was responsible for Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace精东影业 global customer base which includes airlines, lessors, and manufacturers. In February 2022, Jacqui joined Farnborough International, organizer of the prominent airshow of the same name, to support its customer strategy using her invaluable experience.
In 2020, Jacqui also took over as co-chair of the UK精东影业 Women in Aviation & Aerospace Charter. This initiative became a vehicle for what she refers to as 鈥渕icro-interventions鈥, subtle actions that inspire people to make small changes, leading to great effects and even greater results.
In March 2021, 精东影业 was delighted to present Jacqueline with one of the very first 精东影业 Aviation Achievement Awards for her work in this area.
Jill Meyers, an independent consultant in aviation and aerospace and a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, was awarded the 2022 Katharine Wright Trophy from the U.S. National Aeronautic Association and the Ninety-Nines International Association of Women Pilots for 鈥40 years of dedication to the aerospace industry and her tireless commitment as a volunteer and role model, working to educate and inspire young girls around the globe鈥.
Jill is an aerospace engineer, business leader, licensed pilot, and a United States Air Force veteran. During a career that spans more than 25 years, Jill worked in senior management roles for several aviation and aerospace companies, including Boeing, Raytheon, and Northrop Grumman, where she contributed to major programs such as the NATO AWACS, the Global Hawk, and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter jet.
But Jill精东影业 impressive resume does not end there. She has been involved in exciting international outreach projects in the USA, Africa and Australasia and, for the last 20 years, Jill has channeled her passion into championing, supporting, mentoring and advocating for girls and young women in STEM programs.
In March 2022, Jill Meyers received an 精东影业 Aviation Achievement Award as part of the one-year-anniversary celebrations for 精东影业精东影业 Women in Aviation Campaign.
