Previously, travelers departing from Lebanon were required to undergo a 14-day quarantine outside of the country before entering Saudi Arabia if they were vaccinated outside of the Kingdom (Saudi Arabia) as part of COVID-19 restriction measures.
The announcement came as Saudi Arabia allowed entry of more than one million pilgrims into the Kingdom for the Hajj. The Hajj is a sacred pilgrimage to Mecca, which every adult Muslim must make at least once in their lifetime.
