BOC Aviation orders six Airbus A320neo family jets for lease deal with Condor

Aircraft lessor BOC Aviation has ordered six brand new jets from Airbus, to be leased to German leisure airline Condor on a long-term basis.  

The Singapore-based lessor announced on December 29, 2023, that an agreement had been signed with Airbus to purchase four Airbus A321neos and two A320neo aircraft, for delivery in 2027 and 2028.聽

鈥淲e are delighted to be working with Condor once again, supporting its fleet growth and renewal with these six latest technology aircraft,鈥 Steven Townend, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of BOC Aviation, said. 鈥淭his transaction adds to our delivery pipeline of the world精东影业 most advanced aircraft models, which will enable our company to continue on its path of long-term sustainable growth.鈥 

In October 2023, Condor announced that it had ordered three more A330-900neo aircraft for delivery in 2026 and 2027, to join 11 others already in the fleet.  

The new aircraft will completely replace the current Boeing 767 long-haul fleet by spring 2024 as part of Condor精东影业 long-haul fleet renewal program. 

Upon the completion of the long-haul fleet renewal, Condor will go on to modernize its short- and medium-haul fleets.   

The existing Airbus A320/1 and Boeing 757 aircraft will be phased out and replaced with 41 factory-new A320neo-family aircraft, consisting of 13 A320neo and 28 A321neo units.
