Finnair to revamp E190 cabin interiors in 2024聽

Finnair has announced plans to revamp its Embraer E-190 short-haul fleet with new cabin interiors.聽

Although specific details or renderings of the new E-190 cabins are yet to be made public, the Finnish flag carrier confirmed that the new design will have many elements in common with its recently revamped log-haul cabins. 

Finnair精东影业 long-haul fleet received a thorough update in 2022, which included the introduction of a Premium Economy product and an innovative new business class seat. 

The E-190 cabin refit will take place over a period of two years, in 2024 and 2025, with the first upgraded cabins entering service before the end of 2024.  

The Finnish airline currently has 12 Embraer E190 aircraft fitted with 100 seats, although they are operated on its behalf by Nordic Regional Airlines (also known by its 鈥淣orra鈥 brand), a joint venture between Finnair and Danish Air Transport operating short-haul routes in and around Finland. 

As Finnair prepares to mark its 100th anniversary in November 2023, the Nordic airline has been unveiling a number of initiatives centered around its brand and the passenger experience it offers.  

These have included the introduction of new inflight menus as well as collaborations with well-known Nordic brands, such as the launch of a clothing line with Finnish brand Makia, an immersive Finnair-themed experience at department store Stockmann, and the publication of special edition memorabilia inspired by the popular Moomin children精东影业 books.
