flynas and Eve Air look to bring eVTOL operations to Riyadh and Jeddah in 2026

Future flight developer Eve Air Mobility and low-cost airline flynas have agreed to work together to being electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) to Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia in 2026.

The two aviation companies announced on November 28, 2023, that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) had been signed by both parties to explore the evolution of eVTOL flight in the two cities.

The agreement will contribute to Saudi Arabia精东影业 aviation industry by building and supporting the future local ecosystem for electric flights.

The partnership will also contribute to the sustainability goals and the ambitious targets in the aviation sector.

鈥淲e are pleased to explore the sustainable solutions with Eve Air Mobility as a pioneering company in this field, in line with flynas鈥 strategy to adopt initiatives with sustainable impact on the environment, society, and economy in parallel with the national goals to neutralize greenhouse gas emissions by 2060,鈥 Bander Almohanna, CEO and Managing Director of flynas, said.

In October 2022, national flag carrier SAUDIA signed an agreement with eVTOL developer Lilium to purchase 100 eVTOL aircraft.

SAUDIA intends to launch a state-of-the-art service with new electric point-to-point connections as well as seamless feeder connections to airline精东影业 hubs for business class guests.
