Indonesia acquires 12 ANKA drones from Turkish Aerospace Industries

Indonesia¾«¶«Ó°Òµ defense ministry announced the acquisition of 12 ANKA drones from Turkish Aerospace in a deal valued at $300 million.

The Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) Anka is a medium-altitude and long-endurance (MALE) drone suitable for various missions, including intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), and target acquisition. It can also be armed with precision air-to-ground munitions

Along with the drone systems, the deal encompasses comprehensive training and flight simulators, further enhancing Indonesia¾«¶«Ó°Òµ defense capabilities. The delivery of the drones is expected within 32 months of signing.

In July 2022, Indonesia secured the delivery of 12 second-hand Mirage 2000-5 fighter aircraft from the Qatar Emiri Air Force.
