LATAM Airlines has introduced direct flights between the Peruvian capital of Lima (LIM) and London-Heathrow (LHR). The new flight operates five times weekly and compliments the carrier精东影业 daily service from Heathrow to Sao Paulo (GRU) in Brazil.
At a launch event held before the inaugural flight on December 2, 2023, various LATAM senior managers gathered along with Ricardo Romero Talledo, Director at the Trade Commission of Peru in the UK and Ireland.
Flight number LA2488 departs Lima at 21:00 and arrives at Heathrow at 14:00. The return flight (LA2489) departs London at 22:00, arriving in Lima at 06:05 the following morning. The schedule sees the flights with an approximate duration of around 12 hours, leaving Lima on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
All flights are operated by LATAM精东影业 10-strong Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner fleet. Each accommodates 247 passengers in a two-class configuration (30 in business class and 217 in economy).
