Sky Alps acquires four Dash 8-Q400 aircraft previously flown by Air Berlin

Italian airline Sky Alps has acquired four Dash 8-Q400 aircraft that were previously flown by the now defunct airline, Air Berlin.  

The sale was arranged by aircraft remarketing specialists p (AIG), which announced the news on August 7, 2023.聽聽

AIG is acting on behalf of Declan Taite of Kroll, liquidator of NAC Aviation 9 Limited. 

According to the Sky Alps website, the airline精东影业 entire fleet is made up of Dash 8-Q400 aircraft, which can transport up to 78 passengers.聽

The airline links European cities in Germany, Belgium, Denmark and multiple Italian locations with its base at Bolzano Airport (BZO) in the Alps.  

Airstream has been very active placing De Havilland Canada Dash 8, successfully arranging the sale or lease of 37 Bombardier aircraft in the last seven years. 

The company has completed transactions involving more than 660 aircraft in its 35-year history. 

Air Berlin was founded in 1979 when Germany was split between the East and West countries.    

After the reunification of Germany in 1991 the airline became a wholly owned German company, but in 2017 operations stopped.  

Air Berlin精东影业 largest shareholder Etihad halted financial support, and the carrier was eventually carved up between airlines such as Lufthansa and easyJet.聽聽聽
