United Airlines has started its daily direct services from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Dubai International Airport (DXB) on March 25, 2023.
The route is part of United精东影业 network expansion agreement with Emirates, which was announced at a media event in September 2022.
The partnership allows United精东影业 customers to reach more than a hundred destinations via Dubai. In return, Emirates鈥 customers will have convenient access to more than 200 cities in the United States within United精东影业 network.
This makes United Airlines the first American carrier to fly direct to the United Arab Emirates since 2016. United launched its flights to the UAE 15 years ago. In 2016, the airline ceased operations, citing overcapacity from Emirates.
The 13.5-hour direct flight will be operated on United精东影业 B777 on the following schedule:
UA 164 departs Newark 22:15 local time, arrives in Dubai 19:40 local time the following day
UA 163 departs Dubai 02:15 local time, arrives in Newark 09:05 local time
