After seeing Emirates, Qatari, and Etihad very subjectively decide who was being furloughed and who wasn’t when Covid hit, playing games of favorites and completely abandoning those who didn’t make the “favorites” list, many of whom were hired by my airline and whom I flew with on multiple occasions, none of whom will be returning, all I can say is “no thanks”! It��Ӱҵ not advantageous for a pilot to burn their bridges down in our industry. However, it��Ӱҵ also not advantageous for airlines to do this and word gets around very quickly.

If these allegations are proven to be true (and I have a real suspicion that Mr. Paredes has some real reasons to say what he is saying now), the whole Spirit management could be in real trouble (and it should be). At the same time, Boeing should not be quiet on its perceptions and “amends” to what they found in some aircraft bodies. Everyone in the industry knows that “security is paramount.” In this situation, no table should be left unturned, and the arm of the law should be firm on those responsible for such a horrendous administration.

That was not an empty seat, merely one temporarily unoccupied while the occupant was probably in the lavatory. Why don’t passengers ask cabin crew to sort out the situation before it escalates into a brawl like this/

The door plug could never have happened if the regular hatch had not been replaced, and it should not have been! There are NO rear exits on those planes! What if the FIRE is in the forward area of the plane as has happened on enough occasions to make rear escapes a valid need? Everyone dies for lack of an escape hatch! As a pilot’s adult “kid”, and experienced EMS 1st responder, I notice those things and they MATTER! As the 737 maxes now stand, I would never fly on 1, just as I refused to do with the Lockheed Electras in the ’50s!
