Air India unveiled its new brand identity and livery design in 2023. Since Tata Group精东影业 acquisition of Air India in 2021, the airline has undergone an image rebranding that highlights a  鈥渨indow of possibilities.鈥�

Although the airline精东影业 A350 fleet is already wearing the new livery, this is the first time that the new design is seen on a narrowbody aircraft.

The freshly-painted A320neo, configured in an all-economy layout, can be seen in Air India精东影业 new branding that features a palette of deep red, aubergine, and gold highlights, as well as a chakra-inspired pattern.

The livery also sports a black eye mask that surrounds the cockpit windscreen, and 鈥淎ir India鈥� is written in a font especially created for the airline.

There are no engines attached to the A320neo aircraft yet, and delivery to Air India is expected sometime between May and June 2024.

The incident was first reported by A Fly Guy精东影业 Cabin Crew Lounge, a social media page with over 1 million followers, composed mostly of aviation professionals. 

According to the post, the aircraft, with registration N216HA, had just arrived from Maui’s Kahului Airport (OGG), operating as flight HA42 on May 2, 2024.

The jetway, which was numbered A1, collapsed after all passengers from the aircraft had deplaned, and no injuries were reported.

However, the aircraft精东影业 L1 door, where the jet bridge had been attached, sustained considerable damage, enough for the airline to cancel the plane精东影业 return flight, HA41, back to Kahului Airport, the following day. 

As of May 5, 2024, the aircraft is still in SFO Airport, likely undergoing repairs.

精东影业 contacted Hawaiian Airlines for a statement and update on the incident.

Madeira is famous for its strong winds, which can challenge even the most experienced pilots during their final approach. This makes it an ideal location for videographers interested in capturing thrilling footage. At the meteorological station in Madeira Airport, the average wind speed is 22.76 knots (42.1 kilometers per hour).

On March 26, 2024, a TAP Airbus A321neo was carrying out a repositioning flight from Porto Santo Airport (PXO), so as well as managing testing weather conditions the pilots were also contending with a much lighter aircraft than usual due to no passengers being onboard.  

In the one-minute and 33-second clip videoed by Madeira Airport Spotting, the Airbus A321neo initially appears steady on its approach, but a small wobble escalates into something more.听听

Around 40 seconds into the video, the wind picks up, which can clearly be heard on the camera精东影业 microphone, causing the narrowbody jet to begin to sway from side to side.听听

As the A321neo grows more challenging to control against the winds, the aircraft精东影业 nose begins to tip downwards.听

At the point of almost landing, the aft end of the aircraft rises up, leading to the A321neo landing with its nose first.听听

During a few more concerning seconds, the aircraft bounces from right to left before the pilot eventually brings the situation under control.听

After the incident became public, some argued that the pilots should have initiated a go-around.

The new long-term lease agreement was announced by ALC on March 20, 2024, with Transavia expected to receive the planes in late 2025 and early 2026. 

The two new Airbus A321-200neos are in addition to a previous agreement between the two companies for the lease of seven A321-200neos.听听

The first A321-200neo was delivered to Transavia in December 2023, marking the start of the carrier精东影业 transition from Boeing to an all-Airbus in the future.  

鈥淎LC is pleased to announce this transaction for two additional Airbus A321neo aircraft with Transavia,鈥� Steven Udvar-H谩zy, Executive Chairman of Air Lease Corporation, said. 鈥淥ur nine A321-200neo aircraft will offer significant enhancements and efficiency to the airline精东影业 fleet operations, as demonstrated by the first ALC A321neo that delivered to Transavia last year.鈥� 

In addition to the nine Airbus A321-200neo aircraft, ALC has 10 Boeing 737-800s on long-term lease with the Dutch carrier. 

By the end of 2024, expects to operate 13 Airbus A320neo aircraft, alongside its fleet of close to 70 Boeing 737-800.听

The latest lease agreement follows an order placed by Air France-KLM in 2021 for 100 Airbus A320neo family aircraft 鈥� with purchase rights for an additional 60 aircraft 鈥� to renew the fleets of KLM and Transavia Netherlands, and to renew and expand the fleet of Transavia France. 

Transavia aims to replace all Boeing 737-700 and 737-800 aircraft with Airbus A320neo and A321neo models over the coming years.

JAL announced on March 21, 2024, that it will order 21 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, 11 A321neos, and 10 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.  

Of the 21 new A350-900s, 20 will be deployed internationally with the additional jet operating on domestic routes and replacing the one that was destroyed at Haneda Airport (HND) in Japan on January 2, 2024.听听

JAL currently has over 50 Boeing 787s in its fleet. The 10 new Boeing 787-9s, combined with the A350s, will enhance and expand its international operations, particularly in North America, Asia, and India. 

Japan Airlines expects to introduce the A350-900 and 787-9s on international routes from 2027. 

JAL has also decided to purchase 11 Airbus A321neo aircraft, introducing them for the first time in its fleet. These aircraft will be deployed on routes based on demand, including flights to and from Haneda Airport, starting in 2028. 

Up to this point Boeing has been the exclusive supplier of single-aisle jets to Japan Airlines.  

In March 2023, Japan Airlines ordered 21 Boeing 737-8 aircraft to replace its current 737-800 fleet.

The brand-new Airbus A320neo, registered CC-DIK, left the Airbus factory in Toulouse, France, and arrived with JetSMART on March 8, 2024, via Reykjav铆k, Bangor, and Panama City.  

This delivery marks a significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between GOAL and JetSMART, with three more A320neo and two more A321neo set to be delivered in 2024.

According to , JetSMART currently has 31 aircraft in service comprising of A320-200s, A320neos and A321neo aircraft. 

GOAL is a joint venture between Lufthansa and KGAL, with the new aircraft financed through its APF 5 fund, with debt arranged by AV AirFinance, a global commercial aviation loan servicer.

According to the publication, United Airlines is in the market for 36 or more Airbus A321neo aircraft as it responds to delays of the Boeing 737 MAX 10.听听

Speaking with sources familiar with the matter, was told that the jets are due to be delivered between 2025 and 2027.听

At a JPMorgan investor conference on March 12, 2024, United CEO Scott Kirby appeared to confirm rumors that the airline was looking to the Airbus A321 as a possible alternative to some of the MAX 10s it has on order.听听听听

鈥淲e are in the market for A321s, and if we get a deal where the economics work, we鈥檒l do something. If we don鈥檛, we won鈥檛 and will wind up with more Max 9s,鈥� Kirby said.   

Kirby also said that he had told Boeing to 鈥渟top building Max 10s, which they鈥檝e done for us, and start building Max 9s鈥�. 

Once the MAX 10 receives certification, United will switch back to the larger family aircraft variant.   

The move to acquire A321neos comes as type certification of the MAX 10 looks increasingly unlikely to happen within the next couple of years, with Boeing精东影业 production ambitions hampered by the Alaska Airlines door plug blowout and resulting investigations.听

Turkish Airlines unveiled its new low-cost subsidiary airline AJet Air Transportation, which evolved from AnadoluJet, in November 2023, and anticipation for the launch has been building since.听听

On March 12, 2024, AJet confirmed in a statement that passengers could now access tickets through its website and app with the first flights operating to the United Kingdom.  

It was also explained that on and after March 31, 2024, passengers that are registered on AnadoluJet flights will be transferred to Ajet flights.听听听

The new Wizz Air Airbus A321neo flew from Hamburg-Finkenwerder Airport (XFW) to London-Luton Airport (LTN) at the start of February 2024.听听

Wizz Air精东影业 latest Airbus A321neo will be based at the carrier精东影业 hub at LTN in the United Kingdom, a market that the airline is keen to expand in.  

The aircraft精东影业 inaugural flight departed LTN to Bac膬u in Romania, but has since been flying across Europe including Istanbul, Belgrave and Lisbon.
