The first takeoff and landing test took place at the 脟orlu Flight Training and Test Center in northwestern Turkey.  

The Bayraktar TB3 is a carrier-capable armed unmanned aerial vehicle system and, as such, was designed with foldable wings. Slightly larger than its land-based predecessor, the Bayraktar TB2, the TB3 will also offer an increased payload capacity of up to 280 kilograms.   

The unmanned aircraft was first announced in October 2020 and is planned to eventually operate from the TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship. The next stage of the test campaign will be to land the drone on the warship. 

The TB3 should fly alongside the Bayraktar Kizilelma, a carrier-capable 鈥渦nmanned fighter jet.鈥  

The TCG Anadolu was initially expected to carry US-made F-35B fighters before 罢耻谤办别测精东影业 exclusion from the Joint Strike Fighter program for acquiring Russian S-400 missile systems.

The Bayraktar TB3 is a carrier-capable armed unmanned aerial vehicle system and, as such, was designed with foldable wings. Slightly larger than its land-based predecessor, the Bayraktar TB2, the TB3 will also offer an increased payload capacity of up to 280 kilograms.聽聽

鈥淏aykar started 2023 year with an export contract of $370 million signed with the Kuwait Ministry of Defense,鈥 the manufacturer said in a released on January 19, 2023.

Negotiations between the parties have been ongoing since July 2019, after the TB2 made its successful demo flight in Kuwait. During the event, the drone demonstrated its technical capabilities to operate in difficult geographical and climatic conditions, including high temperatures and sandstorms. The flight, which took 27 hours and three minutes, was the longest TB2 operation so far.

According to the Turkish defense manufacturer, at least 28 countries currently have signed agreements for their drones.

鈥淏aykar won out in competition with significant firms from America, Europe, and China, in the (bidding) process going on since 2019,鈥 the statement reads.

The Bayraktar TB2 drone has recently featured in multiple recent armed conflicts, such as Syria, Libya, and Azerbaijan. The unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) also has also been utilized in Russia精东影业 ongoing invasion of Ukraine, proving itself as an attractable solution to destroy more critical assets, such as armored vehicles, anti-aircraft systems, or even tanks.

The drone was credited for helping to sink the Russian missile cruiser Moskva and bombing Russian anti-air defense systems on Snake Island.

The news was shared via Twitter on December 14, 2022, by Sel莽uk Bayraktar, 叠补测办补谤精东影业 chairman of the board and chief technology officer.  

The flight seemingly took place at the Akinci Flight Training and Test Center in Corlu, northwestern Turkey.  

First announced in July 2021, the Kizilelma is being developed as a stealthy unmanned combat aircraft with characteristics similar to manner fighter jets.

According to Baykar, Kizilelma will also be supersonic and have good maneuvering characteristics.

With a maximum take-off weight of 6 tons, the drone is planned to have a 1,500-kilogram payload capacity. It will be capable of conducting air-to-ground and air-to-air missions.聽聽聽聽

The drone is expected to be carrier-capable and has thus been designed to land and take off on short runways. It should eventually operate from the TCG Anadolu amphibious assault ship, which is currently conducting cruise tests.

The Kizilelma is similar to several designs currently being developed by other manufacturers, such as the US-made Kratos XQ-58 Valkyrie or Russia’s Sukhoi S-70 Okhotnik.

The concept is central to the upcoming sixth generation of fighter jets. In addition to advanced stealth and networking characteristics, programs such as the American NGAD or the European FCAS and Tempest envision a manned jet as just one component of a vast system that includes multiple high-performance unmanned aircraft.

Ukraine is continuing to supply engines for the Bayraktar Kizilelma, 罢耻谤办别测精东影业 upcoming stealth drone. The drone has been marketed by Baykar as an 鈥渦nmanned fighter jet鈥.  

Despite the war, cooperation between the two countries has continued, Baykar鈥 CTO Selcuk Bayraktar said at the Teknofest 2022 expo, according to .  

A prototype of the aircraft was unveiled at the expo, with Baykar claiming that the maiden flight will take place in 2023.  

The Kizilelma was first announced in July 2021. Baykar a contract with Ukraine精东影业 Ivchenko-Progress in November 2021 for the delivery of AI-322F and AI-25TLT engines.   

According to Baykar, the engines will give the drone characteristics on par with manned fighter jets of the latest generations, allowing it to conduct both air-to-ground and air-to-air missions.  

Baykar also the Kizilelma will have the maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 6 metric tons (12,228 pounds), the payload capacity of 1.5 metric tons (3000 pounds) and a range of 926 kilometers (500 nautical miles).  

Such characteristics are far below even the lightest combat aircraft, such as the KAI FA-50 Strike Eagle and Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master. However, they make the Kizilelma broadly similar to several Loyal Wingman designs, such as the Kratos XQ-58 Valkyrie and the Boeing MQ-28 Ghost Bat.  

According to Baykar, Kizilelma will also be supersonic and have good maneuvering characteristics. Furthermore, it is intended to have a short take-off and landing capability and operate from aircraft carriers and amphibious assault ships, such as 罢耻谤办别测精东影业 upcoming TCG Anadolu.

罢耻谤办别测精东影业 Baykar is pushing ahead with plans to build a drone factory in Ukraine, with construction set to be complete in two years, the company announced. 

叠补测办补谤精东影业 CEO Haluk Bayraktar announced the news on October 27, 2022, at SAHA defense expo, to Reuters. 

Bayraktar explained that the plan is 鈥渕oving ahead鈥 despite the ongoing Russian invasion and the design phase of the factory is finished. 

According to the Reuters report, Turkey and Ukraine had agreed to build a factory before Russia invaded in February 2022. The plant is set to make use of Ukrainian parts to manufacture various kind of surveillance and combat drones. 

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Baykar Chief Executive Officer Haluk Bayraktar met in Kyiv in September 2022 to discuss details of the plant精东影业 construction.  

叠补测办补谤精东影业 involvement with Ukraine has sharply increased since the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022. 

The Turkish-made TB2 drone become a prominent part of Ukraine精东影业 resistance effort, leading to several successful crowdfunding campaigns to procure more of them for the Ukrainian military. 

Russia has that if such a factory is built, then it will become a target for 鈥渄emilitarization鈥.  

Ukrainian-made engines are also intended to be installed on 叠补测办补谤精东影业 prop- and jet-powered drones, such as the Kizilma, which the manufacturer describes as an unmanned fighter jet.

Multiple videos showing Azerbaijani Bayraktar TB2 combat drones striking Armenian targets has surfaced online after hostility between the countries resumes.

The border, dormant since the ceasefire that concluded the 2020 Azerbaijan-Armenia war, erupted on September 13, 2022.

Armenian officials accused Azerbaijan of unprovoked attack after shells and missiles began to strike Armenia精东影业 military and civilian infrastructure along the border, followed by an advance by Azerbaijani troops.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan has accused Armenia of staging 鈥渓arge-scale provocations鈥.

The videos, reminiscent of those published during the 2020 war, began to appear online shortly after hostilities resumed. Much of the footage show strikes by Bayraktar TB2 drones, supplied to Azerbaijan in large numbers by Turkey.

While the 2020 war was largely fought over the contested territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, the latest clashes are taking place across the entire length of the border between the two countries, with some attacks being reported in the northern part of Armenia.  

Nagorno-Karabakh became one of the first conflicts with widespread and well-publicized use of Turkish-made drones, leading to numerous countries, including Ukraine, choosing to purchase them.

Several new videos showing Bayraktar TB2 drone strikes on Russian armored vehicles surface online after Ukraine resumes its first major offensive since the start of the invasion.  

The footage, which first appeared on open-source intelligence (OSINT) social media channels, show Bayraktars striking tanks, artillery, air defense systems and other armored vehicles allegedly belonging to Russian armed forces.   

According to descriptions, most of the videos were filmed in the vicinity of Kherson, the southern Ukrainian city which was occupied by Russian forces at the beginning of the invasion.  

In the final days of August 2022, Ukrainian armed forces launched a large-scale offensive around the city, with numerous videos and photographs showing at least limited success in certain areas.  

According to OSINT channel Ukraine Weapons Tracker some of the drones operating in the area were delivered following successful crowdfunding campaigns. One was organized by Lithuanian influencer Andrius Tapinas, another by Ukrainian journalist Serhiy Pritula, and the third was initiated by Polish journalist Slawomir Sierakowski.  

While most of the footage has been scrubbed of any data that could indicate when and where they were filmed, at least several videos retain the original TB2 display interface and show the dates as August 31 and September 1, suggesting that the footage is recent.  

This has been partially confirmed by Grey Zone, a Telegram channel closely linked to Russian private military corporation (PMC) Wagner. In one of its posts Gey Zone that at least two Bayraktars are supporting Ukraine精东影业 offensive on Kherson.  

The channel also confirmed that one Russian Pantsir air defense system had been destroyed by a Bayraktar strike, lending further credibility to the footage released by Ukraine.  

Meanwhile, on September 3, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhny announced that between August 31 and September 2 two Bayraktar TB-2 drones were involved in heavy fighting. The drones destroyed eight T-72 tanks, two 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled guns, two BMP armored personnel carriers and two howitzers.

Following the release of the footage several photographs, which allegedly show the wreckage of a Ukrainian TB2 drone, have been published by a Telegram channel linked to Russian military.  

One claims the drone was donated by a Baltic country, likely linking it with the one crowdfunded in Lithuania. However, the wreckage lacks the iconic 鈥淰anagas / Yastrub鈥 which adorned the Lithuanian drone.  

Closer inspection of the photos reveals that they, in fact, show fragments of two different Bayraktars. Furthermore, the photos lack any information that could help determine the time or location where the images were taken.  

In the published videos, at least three tanks, one infantry fighting vehicle, one air defense system and several artillery pieces and supply trucks can be identified as destroyed or damaged, with further identification made difficult by relatively poor quality of the footage.

Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar will donate another TB2 to Ukraine after a Polish campaign to raise funds for the aircraft ended in success. 

The campaign was initiated by Polish journalist Slawomir Sierakowski and aimed to collect enough money to buy the Turkish-made drone for the Ukrainian armed forces. 

On July 24, 2022, the effort crossed the threshold of PLN 22.5 million ($4.8 million), the amount which, according to the organizers, is the minimal cost of the aircraft.  Sierakowski on July 28, revealing that he had received a letter from Baykar and the company would be donating the drone free of charge. 

鈥In light of your campaign, we will provide a Bayraktar TB2 to the people of Ukraine so that they can better protect their homeland,鈥 the letter said, according to Sierakowski. 

The journalist also said he would be allocating the collected funds to humanitarian aid.  

This is the third time Baykar has donated one of its drones following a successful crowdfunding campaign. Back in May-June 2022, the Turkish company gave a drone free of charge after a Lithuanian campaign managed to raise 鈧5.9 million. The aircraft was transferred to Lithuania in early July, and, according to Lithuanian officials, was later sent to the Ukrainian frontline. 

In late June 2022, Ukrainian influencer Serhiy Prytula initiated a campaign that resulted in more than $20 million, leading Baykar to donate three drones in exchange for the funds raised being donated to humanitarian causes. 

Since then, citizens from multiple countries, including and , have launched their own campaigns to crowdfund Bayraktar drones and deliver the aircraft to the Ukrainian armed forces.
