An Air Canada flight bound for Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) became the target of a bomb threat just prior to departure.

The incident occurred on June 4, 2024, as flight AC 43 was preparing for takeoff. Local Indian media outlets reported that, at around 22:50 local time, the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) office at IGI Airport received an email warning of a bomb inside the Air Canada flight.

The B777-200 aircraft was then sent to an isolation bay for a screening process.

鈥淔ollowing standard security protocols, a thorough inspection was conducted, and nothing suspicious was found,鈥 a police officer told Indian media outlets.

Despite the threat being debunked, it is believed that the flight was ultimately canceled. 精东影业 has reached out to Air Canada for a statement and confirmation.
