Air New Zealand resumes seasonal Cairns-Auckland route for ski season

Air New Zealand has restarted direct flights between Auckland Airport (AKL) and Cairns International Airport (CNS) in time for the winter and ski season in the Southern Hemisphere.

The seasonal flights began on April 2, 2024, and will operate until October 26, 2024. 

The flights will be operated using the airline精东影业 fleet of A321neo aircraft. The route is currently being flown twice weekly, every Tuesday and Saturday, but will also include Thursday flights starting June 25, 2024.

In 2023 1.26 million Australians traveled to New Zealand, making it the second most visited country by Australians. The first destination was Indonesia, which welcomed 1.27 million.
