Finnair has officially opened its newest lounge at Helsinki Airport (HEL) complete with an assortment of environments, which includes a Platinum Corner, and room for up to 440 guests.
The Finnair Lounge flung open its doors to Business Class Classic and Flex ticket holders and Finnair Plus Gold members on July 9, 2024, with a video guided tour of the new setup shared on the airline精东影业 social media accounts.
Located on the Schengen side of Helsinki Airport, near gate 21, the lounge is 鈥渄esigned to bring unparalleled comfort and convenience to travelers鈥.
“We are delighted to announce the opening of our new Schengen lounge, providing even more space and comfort before take-off. Responding to the feedback from Finnair Plus tier members, the lounge features also an exclusive Finnair Platinum Corner for Finnair Plus Platinum and Platinum Lumo members to enjoy,” said Ole Orv茅r, Chief Commercial Officer at Finnair.
For non-Business Class Classic, Flex ticket holders and Finnair Plus Gold members, that don鈥檛 want to miss out, access to the lounge can be purchased as a travel extra during booking.
鈥淲ith increased space, the new Finnair Lounge comfortably accommodates up to 440 guests, which is about 150 seats more than the current lounge. Different spaces within the lounge are tailored to various needs: dining, working, resting and spending time with your travel companions,鈥 said Meri J盲rvinen, Head of Airport Customer Experience.聽聽聽

Designed by Studio Joanna Laajisto, the new lounge was created to capture the essence of the Nordics: peaceful, natural, and inviting.
鈥淲ooden textures, soft forms, and warm colors reflect the Finnish landscape’s serenity. Furniture from renowned Nordic design brands, such as Artek, Nikari, and Gubi, adds a touch of local craftsmanship to the setting,鈥 Finnair said in a statement.
As an added bonus the new lounge also offers 鈥渟pectacular views鈥 of the runway.
