Malaysia Airlines and IndiGo sign deal to codeshare on India-Malaysia routes聽聽

Malaysia Airlines and IndiGo announced on April 3, 2024, that the two airlines have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate on routes between India and Malaysia. 

Through this agreement, Malaysia Airlines and IndiGo will codeshare on some routes, and commercialize flights on each other精东影业 networks, with the aim of facilitating the more seamless transfer of passengers between points in India and Southeast Asia. 

鈥淭his partnership will not only offer seamless travel experience between India and Malaysia, but also enhance international trade opportunities by improving accessibility,鈥 said IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers in a press release. 鈥淭his codeshare is in line with our vision to provide access to an unparalleled network, while delivering on our promise of providing on-time, affordable, courteous, and hassle-free travel experiences.鈥 

India is Malaysia Airlines鈥 largest international market, with the carrier currently operating 71 weekly flights between its hub in Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and New Delhi (DEL), Mumbai (BOM), Bengaluru (BLR), Chennai (MAA), Hyderabad (HYD), Kochi (COK), Ahmedabad (AMD), Amritsar (ATQ) and Thiruvananthapuram (TRV). 

IndiGo currently flies nonstop between Chennai (MAA) and Kuala Lumpur.
